Felicia lives on an island in the sea. When she grows up, she wants to follow the birds - her best friends - put in the world. One morning Felicia hears a desperate peeping. A siskin has got stuck in a net. She carefully frees it. But why does it lie motionless when she holds it in her hand? Is it dead? "I'm sorry, I only wanted to help you", Felicia whispers. Somebody on the island wants to hurt the birds. But who? And why? Felicia seeks assistance from a mysterious doctor and together they fight for the freedom of the birds. But not even the King or the Pope is on their side.
Felicia and the Birds is a story about the importance of showing respect for nature and how the stronger must support the weaker.
